Le hameau comptait alors 8000 habitants. Un lotissement d\u00e9nomm\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque \u2018\u2018Ferdinandville\u2019\u2019 fut cr\u00e9\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de la place de l\u2019Etoile. En 1860 la population du quartier des Ternes atteignait 16 000 habitants. Le quartier fut alors d\u00e9tach\u00e9 de Neuilly et int\u00e9gr\u00e9 au 17<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> arrondissement de Paris.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Le bureau de recette fut cr\u00e9\u00e9 en 1838. En 1860 il est situ\u00e9 au 37 rue de l\u2019Arc-de-Triomphe.
